No. It is a single-sided mattress, designed to always be used in the same orientation.

How long does it take to expand after being removed from the box?

The mattress arrives vacuum-compressed inside a box. After unpacking, it takes approximately 5 hours to expand before use, and reaches full recovery within 24 hours.

Is it normal for it to smell when unboxed?

Yes, it is completely normal for a slight new-product odour to be released after opening the vacuum seal. It will disappear within a few days by airing the room well.
