Talalay Latex

• Talalay latex is obtained from the same natural latex emulsion through the Talalay process or system, invented by Joseph Anton Talalay.

  It is the highest quality latex on the market, extremely fine and soft, with exclusive comfort features that are totally different from any other type of material used in the rest sector.

  As in the case of natural latex, the milky-looking aqueous suspension that we know as talalay latex contains a mixture of rubber-specific hydrocarbons, proteins, organic resins, mineral salts, water and other minor chemicals. Some of these substances are added at source to preserve the properties of the material during its transportation to the transformation centers.

• Talalay latex core manufacturing process

  In 1956, Joseph Anton Talalay invented the Talalay latex manufacturing process, starting from the same raw materials but applying variations in the transformation process.

  First of all, as in the synthetic or natural latex process, the mixture of components. Once the mixture is made, it is introduced by aspiration into the mold.

  Through the aspiration process, the mixture is homogenized in the mold, that is, the molecules are distributed uniformly and increase in size.

  Then the mixture is subjected to a freezing process at -28ºC. Through this process, it is possible to break the outer membrane of the cells and thus achieve an open cellular structure, which gives so many benefits to the Talalay latex, and consequently, to our rest.

  The next step is the injection of the gelling agent, which in the case of the Talalay process is CO2. By adding this agent, the structure of the latex is stabilized.

  Subsequently, vulcanization (115ºC) is carried out, as in the traditional process, extracting the material from the mold by cooling it to 30ºC, washing and drying.

  The Talalay process offers a latex of extreme fineness, with excellent properties for rest and with a very high ventilation capacity (open cell respiration). high.
