The Talalay Latex Crib mattress from the Dunlopillo brand, has a 100% Talalay Latex core, thus becoming one of the highest-end crib mattresses on the market.

Talalay latex is a 100% natural latex that is obtained from Hevea Brasilensis tree, through a process called 'bleeding' and which consists of making incisions in the trunk of the tree. Latex is the substance that flows under the bark of this tree and once the cracks are made, it flows directly. Each tree can provide latex for more than 15 years.

For the production of latex mattresses there are two procedures: The Dunlop, or standard, system or the Talalay method. The latter consists of a more elaborate process that results in a latex that is more porous, more breathable, more natural, healthier and more durable than the rest of the latex.

To be able to provide a Talalay latex of excellent quality, it is necessary to follow nine following steps:

1. First of all, it is essential how the mixing of the substances is made. intervene in the process. To do this, air and latex are introduced into a continuous foamer that will emulsify the mixture and provide it with greater homogeneity and density.
2. Then a partial filling of the mold is carried out, in which once the mixture has been deposited and closed, the air is extracted, to cause an expansion process of the latex-air emulsion and to make the cell spread, occupying all the holes.
3. Then we proceed to Frozen, which consists of micro-perforating the latex that is in the mold from the previous step, to obtain an open cell structure, much more breathable.
4. Subsequently, carbon dioxide is injected to stabilize the porous structure that has been obtained and which gives greater stability to that core.
5. A From here, the usual manufacturing process for all latex is followed, with the difference that other conventional latex begins its production in this step, while Talalay latex follows the entire long technological process, of 4 steps, that has been explained previously. This next step is called Vulcanization, and in it, at 115ºC, the latex, which until then was in a liquid state, is converted into latex foam.
6. The sixth step is the Cooled and in it, the temperature is lowered to 30º and the support that has been obtained is removed.
7. Then it is passed at washing, in which through 5 cleaning processes with pressurized water, the residues that have been generated due to thermal reactions are eliminated
8. The penultimate step is based on drying the core at 100ºC and is known as Post-vulcanization
9. Finally, a quality control is carried out which consists of testing the firmness of 9 zones of the core to ensure the optimal level of comfort throughout the mattress

As for the fabric that covers the mattress, it is on Side A (upper), it is 100% sanforized cotton, which allows it not to shrink despite washing and the mattress is more comfortable for the baby in the coldest months, while for the hottest months, Side B is recommended (bottom), upholstered in Microtherm fabric with 3D son, which is anti-suffocation, breathable and prevents moisture accumulation and mold formation.

All the materials that make up this mattress comply with the OEKO TEX and Sanitized certificates, which guarantee that they are free materials of harmful substances and harmful to the baby's health and with anti-mite properties. For greater hygiene of the mattress, it can be removed and washed in the machine.

It is manufactured in measurements of 60x120 cm and 70x140 and in both sizes, the height is 10 cm.
